泉州市委、市政府兹定于2010年2月25至28日（农历正月十二至十五日）元宵节期间在泉州市举办 “首届海峡两岸闽南文化节”，并将国际南少林五祖拳联谊总会成立20周年庆典大会纳入文化节，作为南少林武术文化重要活动内容。

The Quanzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC and Quanzhou Municipal Government hereby schedule to hold the "First Cross-Straits Southern Fujian Cultural Festival" in Quanzhou City of Fujian Province in the Lantern Festival during the time ranging from February 25 to February 28, 2010 (lunar January 12 to 15) and involve the 20^th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of International South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan Friendship Association into the Festival, which is also regarded as the important activity of South Shaolin martial art (Wushu) culture.

2008年6月，中华人民共和国国务院正式颁布南少林五祖拳为国家级非物质文化遗产。泉州市委、市政府赞赏国际南少林五祖拳联谊总会20年来在保护抢救、传承发展五祖拳方面所作的贡献，十分关心和重视我会的发展。此次“闽南文化节”涵盖面很广，除南少林武术而外，还包括戏剧、南音、茶文化、瓷文化、木偶、石雕艺术等非物质文化遗产。届时将邀请世界各地朋友参加，盛况空前。将我会庆典列为闽南文化节一项重要内容，机会难得，且可使我会庆典更加丰富多彩。现将庆典活动有关情况通知如下：

In June 2008, the State Council of the People's Republic of China officially determined the South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan (also known as Wu Zu Quan or Five Ancestors' Fist) as the national intangible cultural heritage. The Quanzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC and Quanzhou Municipal Government highly praised the contributions made by the International South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan Friendship Association in terms of protecting, taking urgent steps to save, carrying on and developing the Wu Chu Chuan. They also showed great concerns and attached great importance to our Association's development.  This "Southern Fujian Cultural Festival" covers many aspects. Apart from South Shaolin martial art, it also includes some other intangible cultural heritage, such as drama, Nanyin (South-music of Fujian), tea culture, porcelain culture, puppet and stone carving art. Friends all over the world will be invited to attend the Festival, which will make it an exceptionally grand occasion. The ceremony of our Association will be listed as an important part of the said Festival. This unique opportunity will also make our Association's ceremony more colorful. Related information about the ceremony is as follows:

一、五祖拳联谊总会20周年庆典活动定于2010年2月25至28日在泉州召开，各国（地区）报到时间2月25日全日；报到地点：泉州华侨大厦。

I. The 20^th anniversary ceremony of the International South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan Friendship Association is scheduled to be held in Quanzhou during the time ranging from February 25 to February 28, 2010. All countries' (regions') attendees should go through the check-in procedures at Quanzhou Overseas Chinese Hotel on February 25.

1、举行国际南少林五祖拳联谊总会成立20周年庆典大会。庆典活动包括：⑴举行庆典大会；⑵选举2010年新一届主席，同时预选2012年主席；⑶举行《五祖拳谱》国际首发式；⑷举行南少林五祖拳国际学术交流大会；⑸研究建立五祖拳段位制，确认颁布首批高段位名单。

1. Hold the 20^th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of International South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan Friendship Association. The ceremony activities include: (1) holding the ceremony; (2) electing the new chairman for 2010 and pre-electing the chairman for 2012; (3) holding the first international publication ceremony for the Wu Chu Chuan Manual; holding South Shaolin Wu Chu Chuan International Academic Exchange Conference; (5) Considering setting up the Wu Chu Chuan Dan Ranking System and confirming to release the first group of practitioners with high dan rankings.
